Sabroso Sabados: Mangu

One of my favorite things about being a Dominicana is our delicioso cuisine. One of our most popular recipes is the Mangu, mashed plantanos (plantains). The great thing about plantanos is they are nutritionally beneficial; it contains loads of vitamin A, vitamin C, magnesium, and potassium. It is so nutrient rich that it is often acknowledged for being a super food. The pros do not stop there though, it is also super tasty and easy to make. You can eat mangu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, main dish, side dish, you name it! I like to eat my mangu as my main dish with salchichon , queso frito, y aguacate (salami, fried cheese and avocado).
